I missed watching my first Broncos game in 3 years due to some BS paid programming in KC (yes I live close to Kansas City, and yes I laugh at the Chiefs very often) and it pissed me off....bad.
So while I cannot comment directly on this game I there a few comments I would like to make on the team in general.
First:
You claim to be the biggest Plummer fans ever...maybe so..maybe not...I LOVE THIS GUY. I have never seen a player try harder at any sport than Jake at football. Last game of the season, 2006 I think, Jake comes in against the Niners when Cutler goes down with a concussion. Jake throws a pick (i would have intentionally with the nutsty way the broncos treated him) and the ONLY player who chases down the dback who grabbed it is Jake Plummer. He had NO chance of catching him (and he knew it) but still this guy sprints his ass off 30 yards back with some prayer to catch him. My point: I love Jake and everything he stood for in todays nuts world of overpaid and way overpampered professional athletes.
Second:
And I'm tired so I'm sure whoever it is who runs LPP will want to hear more about this but....If Denver were ever to let Shanny go it wouldn't be a week before another team picked him up. I will surrender that the real "mastermind" behind his prolific offenses was overwhelmingly Kubiak, but shanahan knows how to coach. Look for another coach today that doesnt coach in boston that has done what he has. NOBODY! I would be deeply saddened if Bowlen were to let him go, but lets face it LPP- you're fighting a losing fight. Bowlen and Shanny play golf every weekend in the offseason. Their wives hang out. It's the broncos family basically.---I will be happy to elaborate when I'm not exhausted.
Third
As much as I LOVE Jake Plummer, and would rather hang out with him any day than Jay...though Jay seems like a cool guy, he never had the natural talent that Cutler does (which is why I like Jake so much). But come on, I'm not someone who's gonna ride the Broncos nuts because I know there are a LOT of things that need a LOT of work but Cutler isn't one of them. Sure there are a lot of things he needs to correct, but he is well ahead of the curve. Not only that, he has the natural talent it takes to elevate his game to the next level. He is a tough player, and is finally starting to show a pair as a leader. I hated when he would hang his head and walk off the field after 3 and out, but he's stepping up and ripping the head's off of the players who are sucking ass. Its starting to work though, he is the obvious leader of the offense.
Fourth...and nobody would ever argue this point
Karl Paymah is by far the worst player in the NFL. How did this guy make his JV highschool team?
LPP, i look forward to discussing broncos issues with you...and i apologize for the lack of depth in my comments but you must understand i am an exhausted college student who should really be asleep.
